This podcast is a true crime podcast about a serial case in Staten Island in New York. It's a representation of internal homophobia gone wrong, and denying the acceptance of one self. The serial killer himself loved men but society deemed being gay wrong and so he preferred to live in solitude rather than to live with a woman which he had no interest in. However as time passed he became jealous of the openly gay men and began targeting them because he envied them and their lifestyle. He went around Staten Island, New York and began choosing his victims. He would torture them and eventually give murder them and leave gruesome "scene". From missing body parts, to dismantling the entire body. He was sure to cover his tracks and the investigation became cold until years later. The serial killer was found guilty years later and given prison time.
It begs the question if he failed lgbtq community or if the lgbtq community failed him by not being more accepting into society at the time. A different perspective is if society itself failed him by not accepting people as they want to present themselves. By making them fit into a specific stereotype and making them all be the "normal".
